Senior Member Success Manager, Tokenomics+FinOps+ITAM+FOCUS
Senior Member Success Manager, LF Technology Value
About the Role
The Linux Foundation's Technology Value umbrella brings together the FinOps Foundation, the Tokenomics Foundation, the ITAM Forum, and the FOCUS specification. Our members are the giant consumers of technology in the Global 2000 enterprises (end-user enterprises) as well as technology vendors (member vendors) building the disciplines and best practices for managing technology spend, IT assets and the economics of AI.
The Senior Member Success Manager owns the relationship with our member organizations across that portfolio. You are the day-to-day partner for a high volume of practitioners, SMEs, marketing, and mid-level ICs at member organizations, and a credible counterpart when executives get involved.
The goal of the role is member value. We have dozens of programs, working groups, events, certifications, and ways to engage. Your job is to get each member to success by helping them find the right ones and get the most out of their involvement with the Foundation.
Most days are operational: a steady stream of member requests, access approvals, program matches, and connecting of dots that have to move quickly and correctly. You are also the voice of the member in the Foundation staff, and the person who ensures delivery of benefits and value from participation, from working groups to events and conferences.
We are a small, nimble, startup-like team inside the Linux Foundation. We ship quickly, work iteratively, and evolve with a technology landscape that changes constantly. You will need to roll up your sleeves and move at high speed. It is the best of both worlds: the Linux Foundation brings big-company benefits and stability, and the Technology Value group brings a highly empowered team that operates like a startup under that parent.
This role reports to the Executive Director of the FinOps Foundation. It is a senior individual contributor position.
What You Will Do
Manage a large portfolio of relationships at member organizations across FinOps, Tokenomics, ITAM, and FOCUS: practitioners, SMEs, marketing teams, and mid-level ICs, with occasional executive sponsor touchpoints. Maintain a regular check-in and planning cadence.
Run a high-volume daily operation: review individual member details, connect people to the right programs and benefits, manage working group and Slack access, route inbound requests, and keep every record current. This is the bulk of the job, and it has to be done fast and accurately at scale.
Design outreach and engagement strategies for strategic accounts that drive participation in working groups, events, and collaborative initiatives, and translate that participation into visible member value.
Partner with membership development and leadership on membership lifecycle strategy: onboarding, renewal, and expansion. Bring engagement insights that inform renewal and growth conversations.
Develop engagement strategies that maximize member participation and visibility at Tokenomicon, FinOps X, and other ecosystem events. Advise and implement programming that highlights member contributions.
Lead reporting frameworks that measure member satisfaction, participation, and retention risk. Turn the data into account plans and cross-functional campaigns.
Act as the voice of the member internally. Translate member feedback and ecosystem needs into inputs for program planning across best practices, events, education, and community teams.
Own member data quality and governance in HubSpot and LFX. Improve integration, reporting, and workflows so the whole team can engage proactively.
Lead cross-organizational initiatives that resolve systemic operational challenges, and enable colleagues for collaboration and shared accountability.
What You Bring
Critical: Direct experience in the FinOps Foundation or Tokenomics Foundation community. That could mean practitioner membership, working group participation, vendor-side member engagement, or Foundation staff experience. You should already know the people, the vocabulary, and how the community works.
7 to 10 years in member success, customer success, ecosystem development, or strategic account leadership.
Proven record managing a high-value/volume mix of members: engagement strategies you designed, retention you improved, cross-organizational initiatives you influenced.
Able to run many relationships at once, from hands-on practitioners and marketing contacts up to the occasional VP conversation, at cloud providers, technology vendors, and enterprises. Direct, specific, and credible without overselling.
Advanced CRM proficiency (HubSpot preferred, plus Salesforce and Google Sheets) and the instinct to be hands-on to fix data and workflows rather than work around them.
Extensive experience in remote-first organizations leading relationships across time zones and distributed teams.
Bias to action. Ships early drafts, closes loops, and keeps other people unblocked.
Location and Travel
Fully remote. North America strongly preferred for overlap with the majority of strategic members.
Travel is approximately 20% of time: Tokenomicon, FinOps X, regional events when required, member executive meetings, and team offsites. Some international travel required.
